She has a billionaire boyfriend so it’s safe to say that money is no object when it comes to picking up a party frock.
So it seemed strange that Holly Valance,27, stepped out in an unflattering ensemble which just failed to cross the fashion mark attending Mikhail Gorbachev’s 80th birthday bash.
The former Soviet leader celebrated by hosting a glitzy charity gala at the Royal Albert Hall last night attended with a whole host of celebrity VIPs.
But while Holly’s dress could have had serious show-stopping power but she failed to draw attention for the right reasons.
The split hemline barely covered her derrière on the right hand side with while the front panel ruched across her stomach which failed to flatter her womanly figure.
While her accessories hit the mark with a pair of peep-toe Christian Louboutin heels and a Vivienne Westwood clutch bag her hair appeared messy and dishevelled which made for a mis-matched look.
Holly, who has been dating Property mogul Nick Candy, 37, since last summer, opted for smokey eye make-up and added a flash of colour with bright pink make-up.
With her curvier frame compared to her days as a pop-star the look did little to flatter her figure and she failed to put her best fashion foot forward.
As the actress and singer posed for pictures she looked uncomfortable and appeared to struggle to prevent the shorter side of her dress from riding up.
The fashion fail frock was a £755 Maison Martin Margiela leather and crepe dress.
The style crown for the evening went to Sharon Stone,53, who looked elegantly chic as host of the birthday celebrations in a blush pink floor-length gown by Christian Dior.
Also in attendance at the party was Goldie Hawn in a Grecian style black gown while Katherine Jenkins who performed at the party opted for a dusty pink figure-hugging number.
Mila Jovovich meanwhile suffered something of a style slip-up when her black net and gold dress revealed slightly more than she intended.

Former Pussycat Doll Jessica Sutta shows she's still got it as she shows stunning curves in bikini
She might have left the Pussycat Dolls in January last year - but Jessica Sutta showed yesterday that she'll always be one at heart.
The 28-year-old was taking time out from recording her debut album with a day on Miami Beach yesterday - wearing tiny shorts with the word 'doll' written on them.
However, the former model star soon stripped those off to reveal the curves that made her famous in the girl group, wearing a mismatched bikini with white top and red and white polka dot bottoms.
Talking at the end of last year as she revealed details of her forthcoming solo album, Jessica had mused: 'Everything about the Pussycat Dolls has made me who I am today and I'm so grateful for that project.
'I'll always be a Doll in my heart.' And on her bottom, by the looks of it...
The star was in the area to perform last night in downtown Miami - her hometown - a the Ultra festival with dance maestro Erick Morillo and sing on their collaboration Pin-Up Girl.
She wrote on her official Twitter beforehand: 'Huge stage! Great soundcheck :) gonna go chill on the beach then get ready for the show. Super excited!!!!
And the gig seemed to go well - she wrote earlier today: 'I love miami :) Honestly had the time of my life tonight. Thank you god for this life. :) i love you ALL with all my heart. Your pinup girl..jess.'
The sold-out three day event was headlined by Tiesto, The Chemical Brothers and and Deadmau5.
Jessica will now be back to work hard on the promotional trail ahead of the release of her debut album.
Called Miamication, it's due out this summer and the first single from it is called I Wanna Be Bad.
Jessica has previously said of her new material: 'I have a love for dance music so it's going to be dance music, also inspired pop dance music.'
The beauty added that she had been trying her hand at songwriting for the first time.
She's be hoping to match the success of her former bandmate Nicole Scherzinger, who landed her first UK Number One single with Don't Hold Your Breath last week and a Number Eight album last night with Killer Love.

She's had an incredibly successful year with her hit track Pack Up becoming one of the most popular singles of the summer.
So it's no wonder Eliza Doolittle decided to a luxury sunshine break in Barbados with bikini to mark the arrival of 2011.
The 22-year-old singer frolicked in the waves with her friends, and showed off her feminine curves in a tiny grey bikini as she walked along the beach.
Eliza said last year she was looking forward to getting away over the festive period, explaining: 'I’ve got four weeks off and we might go away. I’m definitely up for getting some sunshine after all the snow in Britain.'
She also said that because she has been so busy over the past 12 months, she hasn't had time to think about whether the new year might see her move in with her boyfriend, rapper Ollie.
Eliza admitted: 'Will we move in together next year? I haven’t looked that far ahead yet. Work is so busy, I literally can only take one day at a time.
'If I look too far ahead I can’t deal with the anticipation!'
As well as her hit single Pack Up, Eliza has released singles Skinny Genes and Rollerblades and will start her second UK tour in March.
In a recent interview, Eliza said she had wanted to be a singer since the age of 12.
She said: 'I really just wanted to do it, I didn't really have anything else that I could do really. I'm not very good at anything else so I just focused straight away and started writing, got straight into it really.
And as well as releasing more solo material, Eliza is also keen to collaborate with some of the frontrunners in the music industry today.
She said: 'I really love Janelle Monae. She’s this girl from America, and she’s just running things basically she’s amazing.
'Vampire weekend I’m really into.. The XX I really like as well. I’d love to collaborate with tons of people, I love the Gorillaz, so you never know!'

Dress deja vu popular frocks from past designer collaborations
Target's designer collaborations have proved a major hit with frugal fashionistas over the past five years, with must-have designs selling out in hours.
Now the budget retailer is marking the anniversary of its GO International collections by re-releasing 34 of the most popular dresses from the past 17 limited-edition lines.
They include cut-price creations from top designers including Rodarte, Zac Posen and Alice Temperley.
they will cost a fraction of the price one would usually pay for items bearing the designers' names.
Trish Adams, senior vice president of apparel and accessories at Target explained why the retailer had decided to reissue the designer frocks.
'GO International has an incredible following and we wanted to provide women who love fashion with a second chance to get their hands on some of the program’s most popular dresses,' she said.
'The GO International Designer Collective offers Target’s guests a stylish, affordable collection and celebrates the many talented designers who helped make this program a success.'
Each dress echoes the signature style of the designer that created them. The Zac Posen design, for example, featuring a fitted waist and flared skirt like the ones in his Z Spokes line, and the Rodarte dresses both feature the label's typical blend of edgy and romantic.
The limited-edition line also includes pieces by Tracy Feith, Proenza Schouler, Tara Jarmon and Erin Fetherston.
Target has enjoyed huge success with its designer collaborations, paralleled only by H&M. It launched the GO International programme in 2006 in an effort to make the fashion industry's hottest designers more accessible.

lace dress in the red carpet last night.
It all started out well for Vanessa Hudgens on the red carpet last night.
The 22-year-old Sucker Punch star looked white hot and leggy in a lace ensemble for the Nylon 12th Anniversary party in Hollywood.
But her pristine look didn't last long

Vanessa did however looked stunning in her sheer Courtney Love-inspired frock, which she paired with a matching cream cardigan.
The dress which she accentuated with a sheer black sock and stiletto combination showed off her toned and tanned legs.
She finished off the grungy look with her swipe of bright lipstick, messy bed hair and a studded clutch.
Hudgens smiled and posed on the red-carpet along with Sucker Punch co-star Jaime Chung who also looked hot in a school-girl inspired leather mini dress.
They were also joined by the film's stars Abbie Cornish and Emily Browning.
Cornish looked sophisticated in a simple little black dress with matching heels and bold gold jewellery.
While Browning went for a more girlie look in a grey and white bouclé strapless frock which she paired with black tights and platform pumps.
Also letting her hair down with the cool crowd was The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards.
But the 42-year-old stood out in her odd combination of an embellished jacket, sheer pussy-bow shirt and a pair of jeans.
More demure was actress Brittany Snow who flaunted her bare legs in a mini cream taffeta dress.
The 25-year-old wore her hair in a pretty side plait to compliment the look.
Hudgens night out came after the High School Musical star attended the premiere of her new film the night before.
Dazzling in a backless Jenny Packham dress she attended the Hollywood event held at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.
Earlier that day, she also appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show where she quashed rumours of romance with her Journey 2 co-star Josh Hutcherson.
Hudgens, who split from her High School Musical boyfriend Zac Efron in December, had been spending time with Hutcherson earlier this month.
The actress was seen jumping onto the back of the 18-year-old's actors motorcycle and by the looks of things appeared to be enjoying the ride.
'Can’t a girl have friends?' Vanessa said to Ellen when she asked if there was any truth in the rumours.
'Aww, I love him,' she added. 'We just did a movie together and we had the best time.'
Sucker Punch also stars Browning, Cornish, Jena Malone and Chung.
It follows the story of a young girl Babydoll (Browning) who is institutionalised by her wicked
Retreating to an alternative reality as a coping strategy, she envisions a plan which will help her escape from the facility.
Babydoll is determined to fight for her freedom and urges the other girls - outspoken Rocket (Jena Malone), street-wise Blondie (Hudgens), loyal (Chung) and the reluctant Sweet Pea (Cornish) - to band together and try to escape their captors.

old jeans? slim-fit style for male market
Boyfriend-style jeans and blazers were a hit with female fashionistas last year. But will a new range of 'girlfriend'-style denim catch on with me?
its latest menswear launch is a low-slung, snug-fitting style they've dubbed the Ex-girlfriend jean.
The brains behind the popular all-American denim brand believe that the super-skinny jeans will be a hipster's dream.
The oversized, baggy designs are so-called because they look like the kind of garments a girl might borrow from her boyfriend.
A spokesman for Levi said: 'The Ex-Girlfriend Skinny jean is rooted in the rock-and-roll rebellion of the razor-sharp punk aesthetic a look we at Levi are very familiar with, as we were making jeans the first time the movement took hold, back in the late Seventies and early Eighties.
He explained how the company first launched a skinny jean for men in the Sixties, called the 606 Super Slim.
'Designed with a great deal of stretch fabric, the Ex-Girlfriend Skinny jean allows for an even skinnier, more raucous look and feel,' he added.
Style stealers: Katy Perry's husband Russell Brand and Kate Moss's fiancé Jamie Hince could well be wearing their famous partners' jeans - their rock'n'roll look references the late Seventies and early Eighties
The launch will come as no surprise to fans of Jamie Hince, more famous, perhaps, for being Kate Moss's fiancé than his music career. The Kills frontman often rivals his beloved on the skinny jeans front.
Russell Brand is another fan of the super-skinny look, with pairs in several shades. Though it is not known if they are his own jeans or those of his wife, Katy Perry.

Essex stars Fashion Week
Over the past two months, we've seen next season's styles on show at Fashion Weeks in Paris, Milan, London and New York.
But hoping to join the list of the world's most fashionable destinations is the Home County of Essex.
Castmembers from The Only Way Is Essex made the leap from reality stars to models today as they showcased some Spring/Summer designs on the catwalk.
Burgeoning fashionista Lydia Bright and pop star Jessica Wright both sashayed down the runway at the Fairlop Waters Golf Club in Ilford.
Bright, who dates co-star James 'Arg' Argent, modelled a string of designs for New Look, Chelce Hall swimwear and also local store Cherie's Boutique in Ongar.
Wright - the long-suffering older sister of lothario Mark Wright - didn't even know she would be modelling until a last minute phonecall this morning from the New Look PR.
Writing on her Twitter, Jessica said: 'Had most last minute random day! Sarah Jane Baynes (New Look PR) calls this morn' can I model for New Look today, did it and now had a few drinks, feeling tipsy.'
While fashions come and go, it's easy to assume fake tans, hair extensions and French manicures will always be in style in Essex.
On the catwalk today there was plenty of spray-tanned flesh on show as some of the models wore skimpy bikinis and shorts.
Bright, 20, Tweeted she was feeling nervous and steadied her nerves with a glass of wine.
She said: 'James is calming me down with a glass of Pinot before my second walk for Cherie Boutique.'
For the finale of the catwalk show, Bright wore a flamboyant clingfilm dress and Tweeted: 'Now that's what I call a finale loved being a model for the day got that passion for fashion.'
Also on the catwalk was Sugar Hat bar worker Candy Jacobs, who also appears in the TV show.
Lauren Goodger helped Essex Fashion Week CEO Adam Ryan organise the inaugural Essex Fashion Week last autumn.
Viewers of the first series of the ITV2 show famously saw her snub love rival Lucy Mecklenburgh from taking part in the catwalk show - even though her Forever Unique designs had been worn by some of the models.
Goodger further annoyed Mecklenburgh when she asked her then-ex-boyfriend Mark Wright to walk down the catwalk with her - even though they had broken up months earlier.
However, Mark went on to split from Mecklenburgh before Christmas and proposed to Goodger last week - even though they weren't even a couple at the time.
Despite being called Essex Fashion Week, it actually only lasts three days.
Other labels expected to showcase their designs includes Masato, Oooy and Sweet Boy.

prom gowns girls at 3801 Nelson Drive.
The first Fairy Glam Prom Expo will be held Sunday, March 27, from 3 p.m to 5 p.m. at Girls Inc. located at 3801 Nelson Drive.
NV Showroom Boutique and Girls Inc. of St. Louis have teamed up to present the free expo for area high school juniors and seniors attending prom this year.
It's a unique opportunity for girls. prom dresses that have been donated by area residents and businesses.
It's rare that a red carpet worthy gown is worn more than once, so it's the perfect item to recycle. Some of the dresses still have their tags attached, because of shopping whims, changed plans and generous donors.
All the dresses have been selected to reflect a wide range of styles, sizes and current trends.
There will be a fashion show every 30 minutes modeled by the Girls Inc. G.L.A.M. (Girls Leading Among Many) Club and lots of opportunity to talk about hair, makeup and styling.
A number of businesses have also pitched in to help, including Kirkwood Cleaners, who will be providing complimentary vouchers for dress cleaning service; Walter Knolls will provide discounts on corsages and a few local salons have put together discounted makeover packages for that special day.
The group is currently still accepting applications for young ladies who are in need of a prom miracle. These special candidates will receive their dress free of charge and have their own VIP shopping experience. If you know someone who could benefit from the program. Priority will be given to young girls in foster care, have special needs or have been referred by a counselor/social worker.
And the group is still looking for more beauty salons, florists, cleaners and seamstresses to donate their services and offer discount packages to be sold during the expo.

wunderbra! wear bras to work
A court in Germany ruled today that bosses have the right to order female employees to wear bras in the workplace.
Furthermore, the length of a lady’s fingernails can also be determined by her immediate superiors and hair must be clean and groomed.
Men can sport beards, but the boss has a right to order it to be kept well trimmed and not become a Robinson Crusoe castaway version.
The State Labour Court in North Rhine-Westphalia was ruling on a case involving the dress and grooming habits of airport security personnel.
But its decisions will apply to all workplaces in the most populous state in Germany.
'Being told to wear a bra and to keep fingernails to shorter than half-a-centimetre does not impinge on personal rights,' ruled the court in Cologne.
'It is not a disproportionate impairment of personal rights.'
Bras - white or flesh coloured only because the court said bright colours should not 'shine through' - could be dispensed with, the court ruled, if the female was wearing an undershirt.
The ruling applied to a security company carrying out passenger checks at airports in the state, particularly the major hub Cologne-Bonn.
Employees had said the criteria were too harsh, but the court found in favour of the company rulebook.
The only victory the workers scored was that companies do not have the right to ban certain shades of hair colour or nail polish and that wigs - banned under the rulebook of the security personnel - may be worn.

Celebrity wears Elie Saab Spring Couture at the Annual GRAMMY Awards
Celebrity was a true show stopper tonight on the Annual GRAMMY Awards red carpet.
The diva rocked Elie Saab Spring Couture right off Paris runways!
Silver body-line siren dress with a light organza bottom created a signature Celebrity look, complimented by the new shorter blond waves.

Celebrity Redo
celebrity is the perfect example of what happens when you wear too many trendy items all at once - it’s way too hectic and even great pieces look bad. To tone down the outfit, I swapped the caged heels for a simpler pair of caged-styled platform’s. To give the outfit a softer look, I traded in the fitted tank for the slub twist knot tank. Hope you like it!

the cutaway mini dress
The tiny ace minidress dress, worn with sky-high nude heels, was panelled and sported a cut away back, which she showed off as she posed for fans.
red day: the day in Paris, this time a grey lace minidress and nude stilettos
Don't bend over too far, : The showed off the cutaway back on her racey lace dress as she posed for fans in Paris
The star's tactics of wearing attention-grabbing garments certainly seems to have worked however in getting maximum publicity for her music,
her new track is heading for the Number One spot in the UK charts this weekend and is already Number One in the iTunes charts.
